Not to worry, the Galaxy S5 Mini is scheduled for a July launch according to a report by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sammobile.com\/2014\/06\/30\/samsung-galaxy-s5-mini-to-hit-retail-in-mid-july\/\">SamMobile<\/a> today.<\/p>\n<p>The dumbed down version of Samsung\u2019s smartphone is rumoured to launch next month and includes many of the same features as the bulkier S5. These will include the S5\u2019s water and dust resistance, heart-rate monitor and maybe the fingerprint scanner.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_85\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-85\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/thecomputerpotato.com\/thecomputerpotato\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/xl_samsung-galaxy-s5.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-85 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/thecomputerpotato.com\/thecomputerpotato\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/xl_samsung-galaxy-s5-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thecomputerpotato.com\/thecomputerpotato\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/xl_samsung-galaxy-s5-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/thecomputerpotato.com\/thecomputerpotato\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/xl_samsung-galaxy-s5.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-85\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Samsung S5<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Mini is also said to feature a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED Gorilla glass display, an 8-megapixel camera, 16GB of internal storage, 1.5GB of RAM and a quad-core Exynos 3 processor.<\/p>\n<p>We don\u2019t know about the price yet, but we are sure it will be cheaper as the Samsung S4 and S3 followed the same path in releasing a mini versions that were cheaper and scaled down.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report by Forbes, \u201camongst those that did buy a Galaxy S5, 17% switched from Apple and 58% of European Galaxy S5 buyers were previous Samsung owners. As we know, Android is still the dominant operating system, with a 73.3% share of the European market.
